Peloide - chemische Voraussetzungen und Funktion

Abstract: Peloids exhibit their effects through their constituents. These are multi-component systems. Besides defined low-molecular as well as high-molecular compounds humin substances dominate in the mud and above all in the peat used for baths. Direct effects of such sustances into the bath medium bat also on biological objects can be demonstrated. The passage of the humin substances into or through the skin is finally a still unsolved problem, although several instances suggest a positive decision on this subject.
