Medical School 827 Yamada Misasa Tottori 682-02 Japan The changes of skin temperature and forehead temperature were measured to evaluate the efficacy of low concentration artificial C02-bathing at 33 and 40 ° C. The artificial C02-bath was prepared with 50 g tablet made from sodium bicarbonate sodium carbonate and succinic acid dissolved in the hot water. Both skin and forehead temperature after the CO2-bathing were significantly higher than that of plain water bathing at 40 ° C. At 33 ° C both skin and forehead temperature after prepared CO2-bathing were significantly lower than that of plain water bathing. These results suggested that the heat transport between human body and bath water was promoted by stimulating skin blood circulation in C02-bathing. hl
