Abstract: The Institute for Environmental Medicine Okayama Univ. Medical School The increase in tissue p02 and the improvement in tissue pertusion with C02-baths were well demonstrated experimentally by means of medical mass spectrometry. Whatever the pathology a serial C02-baths is beneficial for tissue perfusion disorders; accelerated or delayed amelioration will be seen depending on the state of tissue perfusion which is evaluated by the clearance method using medical mass spectrometry. A serial CO2-baths is indicated mainly for chronic pain caused by the degenerative changes and ischemic trophic changes caused by he chronic occlusive diseases of peripheral arteries. Typical clinical cases will be demonstrated. hl
