Master's papers in art therapy: Narrative or research case studies? |
Journal/Book: Arts in Psychotherapy. 1989; 16: 71-75.
Abstract: Argues that the narrative case study that most graduate art therapy programs require of students is an outmoded and ineffective method of teaching the evaluation process of art therapy treatments. Teaching single case experimental research (quasi-experimental) designs is suggested as an alternative for master's programs.
Note: narrative vs research case studies in art therapy graduate education
