Abstract: This case study describes in-patient music therapy with a young bulimia patient whose eating disorder was expressed in eating binges followed by self-induced vomiting. The polar character of the disorder is clearly manifested in the music. With this in mind, the therapy seeks ways of integrating the two extremes.
