Abstract: Heat regulation is an expression of general metabolism. The skin, as an organ that gives off heat, is included in the regulator y process. Measurement of skin temperature and of the heat pattern of the skin affords us a glance into the metabolic status of the human organism. Processes involving disease can be recognised thereby, more easily. The behaviour during regulation thermography was studied by means of three examples of sum thermograms in malignoma patients (23 untreated, 46 treated) and in patients suffering from anorexia nervosa (19 patients) compared with normal behaviour (28 patients).
