Fumarsäuretherapie der Psoriasis

Abstract: From medival times to the 70s years of our modern times one was mislead by the believe Psoriasis is a skin desease. Since it becomes more and more clear that Psoriasis is rather a metabolic disorder, a thorough change of orientation is indicated. In such premises all piled up findings are merely reactions onto a not as yet recognized cause. The etiology remains in the dalk. With a completely new therapeutical method however there is hope to clear the problem: fumaric acid compounds are highly actic against all forms of Psoriasis-even including joint affections. During 20 years of developing a complete reproducable therapeutical program was developed. A success rate of more than 90% indicates a coherence between Fumaric Acid Substitution and psoriatic activity. Continuation of substitution of Fumaric Acid compounds lead after clearance to freedom of recidivation-the actual crux of conventional forms of therapy. Combined with treatment is a nutritional regime which prevents exacerbations and provocations. Reacting sequences in the intermediate metabolism are obviously affected. Side effects are easily kept under control. Patient compliance is the only criterium of success. A mixture of lipid soluble Fumaric Acid compounds is of advantage in comparison to monosubstances. Method is clean, simple, effectic and brings cost level under 50% of conventional costs. Psoriatics cause an enormous social load, which is drastically reduced with this therapy. The live quality of the afflicted is restored. Considerable basic science studies are still required. Fumaric Acid as pharmacological principle has up till now been completely overlooked.
