Abstract: This paper is concerned with the interrelationship of music therapy and physiotherapy and with techniques of combining the two modalities in the treatment of moderately to profoundly mentally disabled and multiple handicapped children. The paper reports on an experimental program currently taking place, and discusses the roles, implementation and effects of live music in physiotherapy.
