Abstract: A view of three models of learning: structured learning - improvisation as creative expression - improvisation as expression of collective identity. The models are defined and exemplified by practical examples. The three models are located in reference to Barbara Koestler Meier's paper on improvisation as creative expression (Musik & Terapi, 1987, no 1). The third model is illustrated through a casestudy, emphasizing and evaluating its pedagogical implications.
