Abstract: Information on music therapy as an alternative treatment and of the means of music in the work with psychical handicapped. Two casestudies are showing different uses of music as a form of contact, the methods being based on the respective concepts of reality of the patients (diagnosed infantile psychotic / slightly neurotic). A view is presented as to how music may eventually subside for excessive drugging, thus founding an alternative for doctors and then dealing with treatment.
