Abstract: Cooperative project in the field of education between the subject-groups Orthopedagogiek of Amsterdam University and Middeloo, aimed at theories behind therapy; the way of thought of the music therapist. Purpose: to contribute to the forming of theory by music therapists, and to try out a form of research which would result in more practically relevant research data. Method of research: participating observation. Follows a description of two examples (of participating observation) from research practice.
