Abstract: Responds to D. Johnson's (see PA, Vol 72:10065) comment that the future of the creative arts therapy professions depends on (1) articulating its unique contributions, (2) differentiating a wide range of professional roles, and (3) providing the conditions for mature leadership to create a safe environment for this diversity. The present author addresses these recommendations and notes the progress being made in this field. (6 ref)
