Music therapy in a therapeutic nursery

Abstract: This article explores the use of music therapy with a preschool population of special-needs children. Professional consideration such as the determination of differential diagnosis in early childhood are examined. Winnicott's theory of the transitional object is discussed as a model for the role of music therapy with this population.
