Abstract: The paper reviews the lates results of research performed in the USSR in order to find out the mechanisms of biological and therapeutic effects from radon and its daughter products whenn applied as bath as drinking series or as inhalation. Moreover several projects undertaken to optimize the dosage and application mode for establishd as well as new therapeutic indications are described.
