Courage residence: A unique transitional brain injury program |

Abstract: Describes the Courage Residence Brain Injury Program, transitional and comprehensive rehabilitation for brain-injured individuals, in terms of nursing services, speech-language cognitive therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology/counseling, physician services, family support, vocational services, therapeutic recreation, music therapy, life-enrichment programs, financial management, orientation and socialization skills, and volunteers. The program is designed to maximize self-dependence and enhance personal dignity and self-worth for brain-injured individuals who have been through prior rehabilitation yet remain greatly dependent on others.
