Multiphasic profile: A selective autobiography

Abstract: Presents a mini-autobiography of the author, who is honored in a series of contributions to this issue of the present journal. He was born in Poland, raised in Siberia, educated in Czechoslovakia, and came to the US in 1939. His interests‘(nature, music, 3 forms of psychotherapy), professional influences, professional activities (teaching, book reviews, conferences, research, international activities), and research are outlined. Interests include the effects of experimental nutrient and food deficits; the psychology of aging; and illumination, visual performance, and fatigue. A selected bibliography and tables listing personal and professional details are included.
