Hämodynamische Effekte unter der Akupunkturwirkung: Einfluß auf Funktion und Morphologie des Myokards bei der Behandlung der neurozirkulatorischen Dystonie

Abstract: The results of acupuncture treatment for neurocirculatory dystonia are discussed. Echo cardiographic examinations serve objective diagnosis and evaluation of acupuncture's therapeutic effect. lt has been demonstrated that under the influence of acupuncture, an improvement in cardiac regulation, normal blood pressure, and a satisfactory correlation between cardiac index and specific peripheral vascular resistance appeared, the circumferential intramyocardiac stress, and the left ventricular mass having been reduced at the same time. There was a high-grade correlation between the lowered blood pressure, the reduced circumferential intramyocardiac tension, and the retrogression of the myocardial hypertrophy. The results of echo cardiographic examinations lead to the conclusion that acupuncture is very effective in the treatment of neurocirculatory dystonia.
