Abstract: Reviews the international research on children's graphic development and the psychopathology of children's drawings. The application of the results of these studies to the development of intelligence and personality tests and the organization of art therapy is discussed. The work done in European institutions that use graphic expression as a therapeutic tool and the preliminary results of personal studies conducted at the Psychiatric Hospital of Havana are described.
