Beeinflussung der Herzfrequenz und Extrasystolen durch Anwendung von Akupunktur und Elektroakupunktur bei Herz- und Kreislauferkrankungen

Abstract: During a clinical study, the effect of acupuncture and electro-acupuncture on heart rate and frequency of extrasystoles in cases of stabile ventricular extrasystoles was tested. No significant difference between heart rate at rest and under acupuncture or electro-acupuncture was seen. However, there were significantly less extrasystoles under classical and electroacupuncture than under non-treatment conditions. Interactions between the heart, central nervous system and vegetative system, as well as neurophysiological and neurohumoral influences (endorphin effect) in acupuncture are discussed.
