The application of behavioral research techniques to community music therapy

Abstract: Describes methods of incorporating objective evaluation of music, stressing the need for evaluations of its uses. Music therapy is used in the Cleveland Music School Settlement to help to modify inappropriate behavioral patterns and strengthen appropriate learning patterns. A behavioral analysis approach is presented and illustrated in detail, with several case studies given as examples.
