Abstract: During the last two decades the unique developmental difficulties of blind children have been the source of important psychoanalytic investigations and have enriched our clinical and theoretical understanding of the ego in both sighted and blind children. In this paper I describe insight gained from the analysis of a congenitally blind musician.
