Abstract: Berlin Germany 1 Supported by the Volkswagenwerk Foundation Project no.110699 and the Argentine Army. SUMMARY Comparative tests made an 42 treated subjects at 4 selected altitudes from sea level to 6 200 m demonstrated possibilities of influencing altitudinal acclimatization. Changes in connection with enzymes hormones minerals prothrombin clotting time and hematology are dealt with. Anabolic steroid induces a significant increase of hemoglobin content and erythrocytes at high altitude. Calf blood extract apparently induces better oxygen utilization and thus facilitates acclimatization. ___MH
