They have been sent to different workers and organizations interested in Bioclimatology of both arid and humid Tropical Zones. The questionnaire may not directly concern many to whom it was sent or some centres may have ceased climatic work for nearly 90 % were not answered. Answers received from the tropical belt with considerable gaps in distribution give a broad view of current bioclimatological work. The summary is not complete a full survey will need future enquiry. Most of the answers came from Africa south of the Sahara and Australia; but contributions are to be noted from the Near East French and Belgian Africa and Trinidad. Neither South America nor the Far East gave any answer with the exception of Singapore.
