THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE IODINE CONTENT OF THE AIR AND ENERGY EXCHANGE OF THE RAT |
Journal/Book: INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF BIOCLIMATOLOGY AND BIOMETEOROLOGY SECOND INTERNATIONAL BIOCLIMATOLOGICAL CONGRESS (London 4-10 September 1960) Summaries of Reports submitted to the Congress*. 1960;
Abstract: * 1. Only reports submitted to the Secretariat before 1 July 1960 are included in this publication. 2. Reports to be read by the invited speakers during the main sessions are not included. 3. The publication of a summary does not imply that the full report will appear in the Proceedings of the Congress to be published by Pergamon Press Ltd. London. The final decision will be taken by a special Editorial Board of I.S.B.B. after the Congress. 4. The Classification of the reports into various Parts and sections is based on the General Classification of Bioclimatology and Biometeorology as used in the International Journal of Bioclimatology and Biometeorology by L. Balogh M.D. Climatic Sanatorium Kekestetö Hungary No correlation could be established between the metabolic rate of the rat and the iodine content of the air at a relative humidity of 25-75 % whereas a close but complex correlation was found between the apparent iodine content of air saturated at 37° C and basal metabolism. schö
