Abstract: Office of the Wayne County Medical Examiner and the Department of Pathology Wayne State University College of Medicine and Detroit Receiving Hospital Detroit Michigan SUMMARY Three indirect procedures are described for the quantitative determination of chloride in micro and ultramicro quantities of sample. These included polarography by an internal standard technic and 2 absorptiometric procedures involving an exchange of chloride for the anions of silver dithizonate or mercuric chloranilate with concomitant liberation of dithizone or chloranilic acid. These 3 procedures are sensitive precise simply executed and applicable to small sample quantitation. ___MH
