Das Keimspektrum in ulzerosen und gangränösen Läsionen der Beine - Vergleich bei verschiedenen Grunderkrankungen und Hinweise für die Therapie

Abstract: Reviewing 2065 swabs taken from infected ulcerous and gangrenous skin lesions the germ spectrum was determined, Patients with peripheral vascular disease with or without associated diabetes mellitus and with severe venous insufficiency entered this trial. The germ spectrum on the lesions due to the different disorders were compared. The swabs were taken in four diffenent hospitals of the University of Heidelberg in the years between 1976 and 1986. No trends in resident germs could be observed. Also independently of the disease provoking the skin lesion the most important germs causing infections were: Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus sp., ß-haemolysing Streptococcus, Staphylococcus epidermis, yeasts, Proteus mirabilis, Escjerichia coli and Enterobacter sp. out of 43 different species with 3721 stems. These data are ought to be a key to select a successful biological regime.
