Abstract: At the beginning the field of indications for Acupuncture in relation to the usual medicine is being discussed by the way of the basis therapy forms (substitutions, supression and compensation). It shows that Acupuncture is no competition to the usual medicine, but a complementary method and an important extension to our therapeutical possibilities. The effects of weak stimulation serve as an example to discuss the intensity of stimulation, whereby the scaled pathology according to Ricker and the basic system according to Pischinger/Bergsmann/Perger/Heine are referred too. Also the influence of the rich innervation of the ear with 5 different nerves and the corresponding centres of the brain stem and telenzephalon are discussed in detail.
