Abstract: Aus dem Forschungsinstitut für Balneologie und Kurortwissenschaft (Direktor: OMR Prof. Dr. med. habil. H. JORDAN) Bad Elster und der Kinderklinik (Direktor: Profi. Dr. sc. med. H.-J. DIETZSCH) der Medizinischen Akademie "Carl Gustav Carus" Dresden Zusammenfassung Die Kurbehandlung im Kindesalter in der Form einer Heil- oder prophylaktischen Kur ist zu einem unverzichtbaren Bestandteil der Therapie und des Gesundheitsschutzes der jungen Generation geworden. Das Niveau und die Struktur der Kurenversorgung werden an Hand von Zahlen demonstriert. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird den Ansprüchen an die Unterbringungsqualität und den künftig von den Kureinrichtungen zu lösenden Problemen geschenkt. Summary The cure treatment in childhood in the form of a therapeutic cure or a prophylactic cure has become a necessary constituent of the therapy and the health protection of the young generation. Level and structure of cures are demonstrated with the help of figures. Particular attention is given to the pretensions to the quality of accomodation and to the problems which have to be solved in future by the spa institutions. ___MH
