Zusammensetzung und Anwendung von Bakterienkulturen für therapeutische Zwecke
Abstract: In the course of several years, pharmaceutical bacterial preparations of German and foreign origin, were tested as to their content of viable germs. Furthermore, we tested sour milk products said to contain special species of germs. Only a part of the tested products contained the declared and specified germs. Quantitative and qualitative deviations were frequently observed. The therapeutic use of bacterial preparations and sour milk products, is justified by many serious publications, provided that appropiate products and doses are chosen.Current bacteriological controls of pharmaceutical preparations containing viable germs, are urgently; needed.
