Abstract: HARRY STACK SULLIVAN put forward several key ideas related to the role of interpersonal interactions in individual's emotional and physical health. These ideas have since become central themes in health-related research involving cardiovascular, endocrine, and immune systems. Current findings suggest Sullivan's foresight may have even been an underestimate of the impact of interpersonal interactions on the health of individuals.
