Das metabolische Syndrom

Abstract: Non-insulin dependant diabetes represents the final stage of a complex disorder of metabolism. Before the blood glucose begins to take on pathologic levels, one can diagnose a prediabetic phase called the metabolic syndrome. It is already at this stage that damage to the bloodvessels, nerves and organs is done which lead to the typical diabetical disorders and symptoms in the following years. A therapy with guar gum at this early stage may be able to improve metabolic parameters to an extent where a later disorder of the glucose metabolism might be inhibited.
