Effektivität therapeutischer und rehabilitativer Interventionen beim Postpoliosyndrom

Smolenski) Jena Efficacy of therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions in post-polio syndrome: The rehabilitation of patients with late effects of poliomyelitis anterior acuta epidemica should reach stabilization or improvement of physical condition with the aim of prevention of handicap. To what extent this is possible by constant medical care including controlled physical therapy due to clinical finding changes of respiratory function as condition of sufficient oxygen supply as well as independence assessed by means of FIM have been shown. Key words: Post-polio syndrome - rehabilitation - clinical finding - outcome Zusammenfassung: Die Rehabilitation eines Patienten mit entsprechenden Beschwerden nach durchgemachter Poliomyelitis anterior epidemica acuta dient der Stabilisierung oder Verbesserung des bestehenden Gesundheitszustandes mit der Verhinderung eines Handicaps. Inwieweit dieses über eine kontinuierliche Betreuung der Patienten mit kontrollierter befundorientierter Physiotherapie erreicht werden kann wird anhand der Überprüfung der Atemfunktion als Voraussetzung einer ausreichenden Sauerstoffutilisation sowie der Selbständigkeit mittels FIM überprüft. ___MH
