Abstract: Hearing loss is the most common malady affecting adults in this country. About I person in 10 has some degree of hearing impairment. As we age, this number increases;for those over 65 years old, 1 in 3 have some degree of hearing loss, Of the general population, about 1 in 100 need help in order to hear either through surgery or hearing aids. About 1 in 1000 people are totally deaf.
