Abstract: This case series reviews my experience in providing acupuncture treatment to inpatients at a midwestern, tertiary care, university teaching hospital. I review 4 cases, including patients with torticollis, ileus, brain injury, and intractable migraine. The lessons learned from each of these cases are summarized, and the implications for the development of an inpatient acupuncture service are discussed.
