Musik als Dialog - eine Untersuchung zu physiologischen Veränderungen während der Musiktherapie

Abstract: In series of twelve single case designed music therapy sessions with subjects physiological developments of the heart rate were monitored and related to the idea of dialogues in the music therapy setting. The interrelationship of both physiological and music development was investigated showing clear relation between musical and physiologigal developments. Differences related to the mode of activity occured in both monitored persons, therapist and subject and shows clear evidence for the uniqueness of music in communication. In using a validated physiological parameter the investigation supports the valuation of music therapy.
