Effects of learning and indices of interhemispheres relations under dichotic hearing retesting

Abstract: Three groups of subjects with different degree of memory disorders were studied by the method of dichotic hearing. The retesting made after two weeks has shown the learning effect: the increasing of the number of words perceived by the left ear in right-handed persons. In the period between two dichotic studies Ss from one experimental group were made the surgical operation (the extraction of adenoma), resulting in reconstruction of the functional state of the brain. The changes in the interhemispheres relations revealed with the method of dichotic hearing were accompanied by the improvement of patients' health and memory recovery. The hypothesis that reconstruction of interhemispheres relations is the mechanism of compensatory reserves of the brain is discussed.
