Debilitating folliculitis barbae candidomycetica in a trumpeter: successful treatment with fluconazole |

Abstract: A 29-year-old trumpeter, suffering from debilitating folliculitis barbae candidomycetica, was successfully treated with fluconazole 50 mg daily for a period of 4 weeks. Because of the strong local inflammation, oral treatment was initially combined with topical corticosteroid application.
