Abstract: The course 'Coping with Chronic Illness' is a cognitive behavioral intervention aimed at the early treatment and prevention of depression in chronically ill persons. The first experiences show that especially chronically ill people with severe depressive symptoms participate. 9 participants improved significantly compared to 8 persons on a waiting list, and this difference was maintained at two months follow-up.
