Abstract: This article considers the therapeutic use of reminiscence and storytelling in the bereavement process of an adult-child adjusting to the death of a parent. Founded on the client's journey of adjustment, the work looks at how the individual reconfigures and incorporates the trauma of loss into a narrative of personal and spiritual resiliency wherein the goal is discovery rather than recovery.
