Abstract: A regular and frequent evaluation of the practice of training institutes in behavior therapy should help to maintain the high quality standards of the behavior therapy training, to prevent stagnation of training, and to ensure the comparability between different behavior training institutes. A written feedback rating scale currently applied by the 'Gesellschaft fur Ausbildung in Psychotherapie' (Society for Training in Psychotherapy, Frankfurt/Main) is presented and some results of the trainees' feedback concerning the content of the seminars, competence of the lectures, an annual final feedback rating, and the self-experience of the group of trainees are reported. Regarding the content of the seminars, the judgements on the practice-oriented seminars were higher than those on the so called theory seminars. Between the courses clear stable group differences in positive as well as in critical ratings existed. Concerning the assessment of self-experience, the different expectations of the trainees are reflected by the heterogeneous judgements. In the discussion, some interpretations are given and some consequences are drawn for further evaluation of the training practice in behavior therapy.
