Family therapy

Abstract: Recent research continues to focus largely on family interventions to reduce stress on carers of elderly relatives. Descriptive reports of the application of systems-based family therapy with later-life families, although showing creative work, continue to be unsupported by empirical validation. The growing need for such work as evidenced in the recent literature is outlined.
