Abstract: This paper presents a system which is able to recognize sung melodies and present them in a musical stave, in real-time. The system makes use of a board containing ADC's (Analogue to Digital Converters) and a DSP (Digital Signal Processor), which is responsible for all signal processing tasks, and a PC, whose bus the board is attached to, which handles all the graphical presentation, user interface and ultimately controls the whole process.
