Abstract: The frequency discrimination capacity of 63 musicians of different specialties (singers, string players, wood and brass players, pianists and rhythm teachers) was investigated using a binaural frequency discrimination test. Statistically significant differences between the groups of musicians were found. The string players revealed the highest tuning reproducibility. The results show that frequency discrimination capacity is influenced by specific phenomena of the instrumental education.
