Publishing by United States Court of Appeals judges: Before and after the Bork hearings

Abstract: This article empirically evaluates the publication habits of United States Court of Appeals judges before and after the 1987 Bork hearings by examining publishing trends during the years 1983-92 and then by performing a multiple regression analysis on the collected data. The analysis shows that publishing by court of appeals judges declined significantly following the Bork hearings.
