Abstract: Developmental psychopathology is the study of the origins and course of individual patterns of behavioral maladaption. In viewing developmental psychopathology within the framework of ''macroparadigm'', collaborative, multidisciplinary, and multidomain studies on various types of population are needed. In his context, a number of research methods can be used in developmental psychopathology - most of which are described in this article including epidemiological, family-genetic, twin, and adoption studies.
