Immunologische Grundlagen rheumatischer Erkrankungen

Abstract: An immune response is the most important base of inflammatory disease. It always attacks the total connective tissue although they do appear in a different manner. The reason for this phenomenon is not yet known. However, the presence of the antigen is essential. Therefore autoimmune disease is chronically progredient whereas reactive diseases terminate upon elimination of the antigen. Immunogenetic factors are also important for the manifestation as an individual risk as HLA-B-27 demonstrates.
