Differentialdiagnose und Therapie der akuten Lumbago und Lumboischialgie aus der Sicht der Akupunkt-Massage nach Penzel |
Abstract: Lumbago and lumbo-ischialgia respond very well to the bloodless method of treatment of the acupunct-massage according to Penzel (APM). A basic prerequisite for this therapy is on the one hand the clinical clarification of the whole pathomorphology of the region of loin, pelvis and hip, in order to answer the question, whether a physical therapy and the acupunct-massage according to Penzel are indicated. In order to chose the right form of treatment, it is especially important, to distinguish between "ischialgia of the invertebral disks" and the ischiatic forms of discomforts in the case of a blockage of the iliosacral joint, as the latter are especially well suited for the different measures of the APM according to Penzel. After a clinical examination an "energetic" examination is necessary, in order to clarify, which meridians or meridional groups do not show enough flowing control energy "Chi" at the time of the examination. After the meridians lacking energy have been refilled with the help of the small therapy rod developed for the APM according to Penzel, which is moved over the meridians with massage-like movements and slight pressure, the physiological equilibrium of flow of Chi in the body and thus the freedom form pain is achieved again. This is the basis for the actual treatment of the blocked iliosacral joint and the secondary blockages caused by it in the nearby joints by smooth rolling and swinging movements. In order to avoid a relapsing blockage, after the mobilization of the joint the question of a possibly existing anatomical difference in the leg length, which has to be distinguished from a blockage induced functional difference in the leg length, is clarified and is compensated for in a positive case with the help of orthopedics.
