Die Bedeutung der Naturheilverfahren für die Gesamtmedizin

Abstract: First of all, naturopathy and empiric therapeutics are defined and classified. Then the figures of the Federal Medical Board and the Medical Board of Westfalen-Lippe are evaluated with respect of the awarding of the additional designation naturopathy. They prove the increasing significance of naturopathy in the whole field of medicine where as this development especially concentrates on general practitioners. In this case it is especially general medicine, which seems to show the highest affinity for naturopathy.Finally, the purposeful establishment of naturopathic outpatient research clinics is proposed as an important precondition for the systematic differentiation and standardization of naturopathic methods which has priority now. With them it is possible to correct various one-sidednesses of clinical medicine and to further develop them in a reforming and innovative way.
