Abstract: The Medical Resonance Therapy Music of the classical composer and musicologist Peter Hübner has been the object of clinical observation and scientific examination as well as medical treatment at different universities, research institutes and clinics in Germany and foreign countries for seven years. In the center of scientific interest is the question, to which extent a harmonically structured music, as it is the case with the Medical Resonance Therapy Music, can harmonize physiological and phychological processes.The "bombardment" of the cerebral cortex with bioelectromagnetic impulses of the sensory organs is of great importance for the growth as well as for the function of the central nervous system.According to estimations of famous specialists, the ear participates in the energy value of this bombardment via the sensory organs with 80-90 %. Thus, the ear becomes probably the most important modulator of the bioelectromagnetic activity of the brain.Various examples of clinical observation and scientific research in the field of Medical Resonance Therapy Music show, that by its use, especially the selfregulatory forces of the listener can be permanently strengthened. This leads to the conclusion, that harmonically structured sequences of bioelectromagnetic impulses of the ear in the central nervous system lead to a balancing of the physiological and psychological functions.
