Wirksamkeit eines Kombinationspräparates aus Calcium, Vitamin D3, A und C bei beginnender Osteoporose

Abstract: 20 patients (19 women and 1 man) with osteoporosis (14 patients with beginning osteoporosis, 6 patients with manifest osteoporosis) had been treated for one year with a compound of calcium, vitamin D3, A and C. An estrogen therapy, which had already been initiated, was continued. The values of bone density of the lumbar spine and of the left femoral neck had not improved significantly after 6 and 12 months, but a further reduction could not be observed. In the case of the beginning osteoporosis there had been a clear improvement in three cases (manifest in one case), a slight improvement in eight cases (manifest in three cases) and no improvement in two cases (also manifest in two cases).A worsening had been observed in only one case of a beginning osteoporosis. The simultaneous intake of estrogens had no influence on the results.
